March 2014 – Malaysia Good Design Mark

The Louvre Chair got awarded a Good Design Mark by the Malaysian Design Council.

December 2013 – Design For Asia Awards

– The Louvre Chair wins bronze award at the Design for Asia awards 2013
– Philips design team win a merit award for the Philips Fidelio HTL9100

October 2013 – The Wirecutter best iPhone 5s/5c case

After extensive research The Wirecutter editor Alexander George selected again a SwitchEasy product as the best case. This time it wasthe best case for iPhone 5s/5c and the product name is Numbers.

September 2013 – Erkenning Goed Industrieel Ontwerp (the Netherlands)

Philips Fidelio HTL9100 got recognized with a Merit award of Good Industrial Design in the Netherlands

August 2013 – EISA Innovation award

European Imaging and Sound Association Awarded the Philips design team with a European HT innovation award for the Philips Fidelio HTL9100.

July 2013 – The Wirecutter best iPhone 5 case

After extensive research The Wirecutter editor Alexander George selected the SwitchEasy Tones for iPhone 5 as the best iPhone 5 case.

February 2013 – What HiFi Sound and Vision: Product of the Year over all winner for surround sound on demand concept

During the What HiFi Sound and Vision in Bristol the Philips Design team got rewarded with the What HiFi Sound and Vision: Product of the Year over all winner award for the Fidelio HTL9100. What Hi-Fi were impressed by the Fidelio HTL9100’s ability to work as a single, powerful soundbar that is able to deliver realistic sound and strong, perfectly matched bass through its wireless subwoofer. What genuinely stunned them however was how easily it transforms into a true surround sound system. As they say in their review, “If you want to be immersed in sound, there’s no substitute for actually being surrounded by speakers.”

January 2013 – CES Innovation and Design Award for the surround sound on demand concept

The CES Innovations award was created to honour outstanding design and engineering in consumer electronics. This year, the award went to the Philips Design team for the Fidelio HTL9100 in recognition of its ability to let people choose between true surround sound and soundbar simplicity, and its status as “the world’s first soundbar with detachable battery-charged wireless speakers.”

 

January 2013 – CES: SwitchEasy wins I-Lounge best of show award 2013

During the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas, I-Lounge awarded the SwithEasy FreeRunner protective case with a Best of Show award.

December 2012 – Design for Asia Awards 2012

The Fandango wins bronze award at the Design for Asia awards 2011 in the category Household Appliance / Product Design.

April 2012 to August 2013 – Interim design director position at SwitchEasy

For a bit more than a year Danny has helped out his friend Steve Bau running his design studio for his Hong Kong based brand SwitchEasy. SwitchEasy is a boutique brand for computer accessories and protective cases.

Januari 2012 – Fotanian Open Studio Days

On 7-8 and 14-15 January 2012. We will be opening our gates during theFotanian Open Studio weekends on January 7, 8, 14 and 15 from 14.00 to 20.00. For each of these weekends, not only us, but all artists in this area are welcoming you in their studios. With over 80 studios and over 300 artists participating, Fotanian Open Studio has grown to an unprecedented scale. There will be guided tours, workshops, seminars and other special events.

Februari to May 2011 – Exhibition Hong Kong Creative ecologies at the Hong Kong heritage museum.

“Hong Kong: Creative Ecologies”, the brainchild of the Hong Kong Design Centre, comes home to Hong Kong after enjoying a successful debut at the Shanghai World Expo. Based around seven themes-Innovators, Image Builders, Street Smart, Brand Creators, Breakthrough Concepts, International Talent and The Young Generation-the show captures the vitality of the Hong Kong design industry and the origins and growth of the creative genes that run through its veins.

March 2011 – Cebu Next

Introduction of our new lighting collection ‘Check Mate!’ and the pendant light ‘Fandango’ for HIVE.

December 2010 – Peoples Paint

“People’s Paint” – Another event organized by Danny Fang together with his friends of Local Dutch during the Detour of Business of Design Week 2010 and During the Guangzhou Design Week 2010. Poeples paint is a life size livingroom installation that can be painted on by the famous ‘paint by number’ concept. The Hong Kong audience was invited to participate and experience the joy of creativity.

December 2010 – ‘Butchers Deluxe’

Butchers Deluxe is a Design for Charity event to raise funds for ‘Room to Read’. The organization invited 13 international designers to give their comments on the Iconic Hong Kong. At at Gallery Contemporary by Angela Li all lights were displayed for the auction.

The Gradient Collection won bronze award at the Design for Asia awards 2010 in the category Household Appliance / Product Design The Geppetto chair won special merit award at the Design for Asia awards 2010 in the category Household Appliance / Product Design

November 2009 – Pimping Dutch

‘Pimping Dutch’ a Detour event during the Business of design week in Hong Kong. Danny Fang together with Local Dutch organized and event to show the public in Hong Kong the added value of design. At the event we helped to fix peoples broken objects and pimp them Dutch style!

Danny Fang was elected by Perspective Magazine as one of the “40 under 40” talented and young individuals who lead Asia’s design industry.

 

March 2008 – Malaysian International Furniture Fair

Matryoshika chair was elected winner of the best furniture concept and was elected winner of the best outdoor furniture concept at the MIFF 2008.
